Our Spotlight Company: Spyce Girlz
Spyce Girlz makes better-for-you, better-tasting spice blends that are all-natural, preservative-free, lower in sodium, and super versatile. We started our business by selling at local farmer’s markets and now our line of spice blends are available at hundreds of major retail locations across Ontario, and we’re working on expanding across Canada.
What Impact Do You Hope to Make Through Your Company?
I want to make the spice aisle more exciting by bringing innovation to a category traditionally dominated by large conglomerates. Spyce Girlz offers bold, high-quality blends that inspire creativity in the kitchen. Beyond spices, I hope to inspire young entrepreneurs—starting Spyce Girlz at 13 taught me invaluable lessons, and I want to show others that age is no barrier to building something great.
What Advice Would You Give to Those Who Are Interested in Starting Their Own Business?
Don’t be afraid to ask for help—you can’t do it alone. Stay curious, always ask questions, and learn from those who’ve been there. Surround yourself with mentors, take action, and embrace challenges as opportunities to grow.
