Ceremonial wear
Please note that all members of the procession must wear appropriate academic attire and that all clothing for the ceremony (gowns, hoods, etc.) is free of charge for professors, thesis supervisors, external professors, librarians and members of the Senate and Board of Governors.
Parking
Avoid traffic and parking. Take Light Rail Transit (LRT) to Rideau Station.
The nearest parking is a two-storey underground parking facility off-campus connected to the Rideau Centre, with entrances on Daly Avenue and Colonel By Drive. Regular rates apply.
Alternatively, parking in the University’s Brooks, Desmarais and Mann garages (June 6 to 9 inclusive) and all outdoor parking lots (Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9 only) is free during Convocation. If you park at the University, allow 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the Shaw Centre.
There is paid outdoor parking at 100 Marie Curie, as well as time-limited street parking in the neighbourhood.
