Are you looking for a rewarding experience that showcases your entrepreneurial skills? Join the Solutions Lab to develop a business idea which will help solve a problem facing our community. You can come with an idea or join a team with an existing idea!

The teams will be formed on the first day of the program, and each participant will receive an award of $525 upon completion. This program is open to undergraduate students from all faculties. 

This year, the eHub has partnered with Ottawa Tourism to host our Solutions Lab. The theme this year will be about improving tourism in Ottawa. Working in teams, you will build a business case for a solution that will make Ottawa a more appealing destination for visitors.

Eligibility

Students must complete a total of 40 hours of work on their project to complete the program and receive the final award of $525.

This fall, the Solutions Lab will be held in person during Reading Week on:

  • Tuesday, October 15, 2024
  • Wednesday, October 16, 2024
  • Thursday, October 17, 2024 
  • Friday, October 18, 2024
     

To enroll, you should be:

  • A registered student enrolled in any full-time or part-time undergraduate program at the University of Ottawa.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Must participate every day of the program to be eligible for the award.
  • Must complete 40 hours in program to be eligible for the award
  • Must fill out the evaluation form at the end of the program to be eligible to the award.
  • Please note that you can only participate in one Experience Ventures program per school year.
