Karen Phillips

Le programme de recherche de Karen Phillips, professeure adjointe, s’intéresse à la santé sexuelle et reproductive sous un angle pluridisciplinaire. Originellement spécialisée en biologie reproductive et forte d’une expérience clinique en procréation assistée et en traitement de l’infertilité, la professeure Phillips en est progressivement venue à en étudier la dimension psychosociale (sensibilisation, attitudes, perceptions, comportements). S’appuyant sur sa formation en biologie reproductive, elle examine ainsi les facteurs biologiques, environnementaux et sociaux déterminants en santé sexuelle et reproductive. Son unité de recherche s’intéresse précisément, dans ce champ, aux questions de perception du risque, de prise de décisions et de prévention.
