Biographie

Dr. Jean Daniel Jacob est professeur agrégé à l’École des sciences infirmières de la Faculté des sciences de la santé, à l’Université d’Ottawa. Ses travaux reposent sur des aspects critiques et sociopolitiques dans le domaine des soins infirmiers psychiatriques ainsi que des questions liées au pouvoir, à l’éthique et à la gestion du risque de violence. En tant que membre de la Chaire de recherche universitaire en soins infirmiers médico-légaux (2009-2018), Dr. Jacob travaille présentement sur divers projets qui touchent l’utilisation des mesures de contrôle en psychiatrie. Dr. Jacob est présentement président du Conseil d’administration de Droit-Accès de l’Outaouais, un organisme communautaire axé vers la défense de droits en santé mentale.
