2022 Cross-Canada Official Languages Consultations

Catherine Buchanan, Language Professor and OLBI Assistant Director, took part in an online discussion July 5 on the topic “Protection and promotion of French: Public and private sectors,” as part of the Cross-Canada Official Languages Consultations.

Since May, Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Minister of Official Languages, has been on a cross-Canada tour meeting resource people, members of official language minority communities and government officials to get to know peoples’ views and concerns regarding official languages. These consultations will conclude in August.
