Beaman, Lori G.
Full Professor, Department of Classics and Religious Studies
Lori G. Beaman, F.R.S.C., is the Canada Research Chair in Religious Diversity and Social Change, and the Director and Principal Investigator of the Nonreligion in a Complex Future project. Her publications include The Transition of Religion to Culture in Law and Public Discourse (Routledge, 2020) and Deep Equality in an Era of Religious Diversity (Oxford UP, 2017).

Full Professor and Professor Emeritus
Theodore de Bruyn is an emeritus professor of Religious Studies at the University of Ottawa. His research has focused on various aspects of ancient Christianity: Latin Pauline commentaries, Greek textual amulets, and identity formation among Christians.

Reinhartz, Adele
Chair, Department of Classics and Religious Studies, Full Professor and Graduate Studies Director
Adele Reinhartz, Distinguished University Professor at the University of Ottawa, is a specialist in the study of ancient Judaism and Christianity, and the Bible in/and Film. Adele was inducted into the Royal Society of Canada in 2005. She served as President of the Society of Biblical Literature in 2020, and was awarded the Konrad Adenauer Prize (Germany) in 2021.

Vallely, Anne
Associate Professor, Department of Classics and Religious Studies, and Director of Undergraduate Religious Studies
My areas of research include the Anthropology of religion ( in particular, Jainism), the intersection of religion and nature, comparative mysticism, non-ordinary states of consciousness, and religion and healing, death and grief.
