L'adaptation urbaine face aux stress combinés : cas de l'habitat lacustre de Ganvié au Bénin.
Feb 6, 2025 — 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
This research focuses on the study of urban adaptation in a lake environment and a specific community undergoing combined stress (demographic, climatic and resource [access and/or availability]). Based on a relational approach between the architectural and urban construct and the actions of the community, the research is articulated between the discipline of urban morphology and the field of resilience studies. It is based on an in-depth analysis of the actions and adaptive experience of the people living in the area under study. Our research takes an interpretative approach to urban history and memory. The case study is a socio-constructed vernacular lacustrine environment developed over a long period.
