Students in the Guitar Sector receive excellent training at both the undergraduate and graduate levels under the leadership of the guitar faculty, all of whom are founding members of the Canadian Guitar Quartet.

Other masterclasses, given by guest artists of national and international renown, usually involve collaboration with the Conservatoire de musique de Gatineau and the Ottawa Guitar Society. Various performing opportunities include class concerts (given twice a semester) and participation in public concerts of solo and ensemble works (presented by the Guitar and Baroque Ensembles).
