The Faculty of Arts is proud to announce a partnership between the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training of the Kingdom of Spain and the University of Ottawa. The partnership was spearheaded by Dean Kevin Kee and Professor Luis Abanto Rojas, Director of the Spanish BA program.
At the Faculty of Arts, we love to celebrate language and cultural exchange. With Spanish spoken by over 450 million people around the globe and an official language in 21 countries, we wanted to give students the opportunity to internationalize their uOttawa experience.
The partnership will allow our students better access to Spanish educational institutions and enable them to spend a term or two in Spain, as well as give them the opportunity to be a language assistant (English or French) in the Spanish academic system.
Students participating in this program will gain Spanish linguistic competencies as well as intercultural skills, which will help open an array of opportunities for them.
