Description
The LaboÉval, located at CRECS, provides free online training and one-on-one support to CBOs to build their evaluation capacity, while contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field. The presentation will include: 1) an overview of the background and program of capacity building in evaluation; 2) a brief demonstration of the online course materials; 3) testimonials from participating organizations; and 4) an example of a case study that was produced as a result of an organization's journey through our program, and serves as a source of data for our research projects.

Isabelle Bourgeois
Vice-Dean Research and Professional Development and Associate Professor
Isabelle Bourgeois joined the Faculty of Education in 2019 as Associate Professor of program evaluation and was a faculty member at l'École nationale d'administration publique (Université du Québec) from 2012 to 2019. Prior to joining academia, she was an evaluation manager in the Canadian federal government. Her ongoing research work focuses on measuring and building organizational evaluation capacity in the public and community sectors. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Journal of Program Evaluation. In 2017, she received the Karl-Boudreault award for leadership in evaluation from the National Capital Chapter of the Canadian Evaluation Society.
