Informed by recommendations by Anita Tenasco, retired Director of Education for Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg on the use of colour to reflect the changing seasons, and the need for circles as a mechanism for equitable dialogue, nothing about edstudiO makes teacher-led models of instruction easy. edstudiO has been designed to disrupt this paradigm. The spaces are designed to center interaction and learning through playful engagement with diverse digital and physical materials.

Equipment:

Technologies in edstudiO can be strategically infused to support the development of digital skills, and digital literacies practices in activity. 

Research programs, led by Faculty and graduate student members of edstudiO, focus on:

• The development of promising digital literacies teaching methods  
• The potential of virtual reality environments for teaching and learning
• The design of Inclusive and accessible digital learning experiences
