Our mission

Rooted in the unique context of Francophone minorities, the Érudid research unit aims to create a space for reflection and dialogue between Francophone didacticians in various disciplines while promoting the exchange of knowledge and practices on a national and international scale.
Érudid's mission is to pool the expertise of its members to enhance dialogue between school disciplines and training programs. It seeks to promote didactic research and encourage its practical application in educational settings.

Our objectives

  • Conduct an in-depth reflection on didactic research to encourage the development of cross-disciplinary work, enabling a better understanding of common theoretical foundations across various disciplines.
  • Foster dialogue among researchers working on various didactic issues, whether related to school disciplines (mathematics, history, etc.), vocational training, or other forms of access to knowledge and cultural practices.
  • Promote and disseminate our research findings to scientific and professional communities, practitioners, and the Francophone community both within and outside the university.
  • Build strong ties with regional, national, and international partners to facilitate knowledge mobilization and promote innovation in didactics.
  • Explore and integrate educational technologies to innovate in didactic training and research, developing cutting-edge pedagogical environments and practices.
  • Maintain and strengthen the role of didactic research in the field of education, both within our faculty and beyond, contributing to the enrichment of the Francophone educational field.

Research program and key areas

Our research program is based on three essential dimensions: epistemological, pragmatic, and social:

  • Epistemological: We study the intersections between didactics to foster collective and interdisciplinary reflection on common practices and terminologies.
  • Pragmatic: We focus on knowledge mobilization, incorporating our research results on interdisciplinarity into teacher training programs. This includes innovative projects preparing future teachers for current societal challenges and their civic roles.
  • Social: We are committed to disseminating our research results to the Francophone community, practitioners, and the scientific community to strengthen the links between educational stakeholders.
