El Hadji Yaya Koné is an associate professor of online learning ​and teaching in higher education, and Director of graduate ​programs in the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa. His ​research interests focus on instructional design, inclusive digital ​learning, cross-border distance education, and the professional ​development of teaching staff and educational advisors in both ​school and university settings.

Banafsheh  Karamifar

Banafsheh Karamifar, Professor - University of Ottawa

Banafsheh Karamifar is an assistant professor of linguistics and ​FSL at the School of Liberal Arts at Laurentian University, as well as ​an adjunct professor of technology integration in educational ​contexts in the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa. Her research interests are in the digital humanities, including the impact of emerging ​technologies, such as multimodality and artificial intelligence, on ​learning and teaching.

Mame Fatou Seck, Research Assistant - University of Ottawa​

Mame Fatou Seck is a PhD student and research assistant in the Faculty of Education at the ​University of Ottawa. She is interested in the potential of using ​emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to train ​employees in the workplace. Her research interests include ​instructional design, educational technologies, and online learning and she also works as an Instructional Designer.

Tyson Gofton

Tyson Gofton, Senior Manager - University of Ottawa

B. Tyson Gofton, PhD, is a senior manager at the University of Ottawa with expertise in academic program design, workplace-integrated learning and behavioral assessment. As a philosopher, MBA and Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), Gofton is especially interested in multi-modal education, experiential learning and the metacognition of non-verbal knowledge. Most recently, he led the design of the University of Ottawa’s experiential learning framework.
