Jan 15, 2025 — 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
The Faculty of Education invites you to discover Isabelle Picard's new book entitled "Des glaçons comme du verre".The book launch will be held virtually from 11 am to 11:45 am.
Overview
“Isabelle Picard was inspired by her own family history, rooted in a troubling episode in Canadian history: the Sixties Roundup, or the large-scale abduction of Aboriginal children in Canada from 1951 onwards. This deeply moving novel paints a luminous, nuanced portrait of three generations forcibly separated, but determined to prove that blood ties, and especially those of the soul, can transcend the tears of the past.”
