We invite you to join us for the Open science and the influence of French-language research workshop led by Megan Cotnam-Kappel and Catherine Lachaîne, happening on March 3rd, 2025 at CRX623.

Description
This interactive workshop focuses on the researcher's posture in open science and the influence of French-language research. The speakers will also discuss their research projects, data collection tools, and strategies for mobilizing knowledge in an open context.

Megan Cotnam-Kappel
Professor, University of Ottawa
Professor Megan Cotnam-Kappel holds the Research Chair on the Digital Vitality of Franco-Ontarian Communities and is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa. She is an expert in educational technologies and minority-language education, and holds a doctorate from the University of Ottawa and the Université de Corse Pascal Paoli. She is a member of the executive team of the The Canadian Playful Schools Network (CPSN), and was appointed Senior Associate to the Dean in the Faculty of Education, with a special mandate for the Francophonie.

Catherine Lachaîne
Doctoral candidate
Catherine Lachaîne is a doctoral candidate in the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa, as well as Interim Head, Collections Strategy at the University of Ottawa Library. Her research focuses on open education and education in minority language contexts.
