This event is organized by the Centre for Research on Educational and Community Services (CRECS) to improve social programs and policies for citizens, especially those facing social exclusion.
Description
The Poverty Challenge is a community event and learning opportunity, where participants walk through a simulated ‘day-in-the-life’ of someone seeking to resolve core needs such as housing, employment, legal aid, income, food and community support. It is designed to provide participants with an embodied, immersive experience of the system as it is, and to engage in solution-oriented dialogue afterwards.
