Jovan Groen is a Senior Research/Evaluation Analyst for the University of Ottawa’s Vice-Provost Academic Affairs and Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Education. In this capacity, Jovan leads various institutional research and evaluation initiatives related to the postsecondary teaching and learning experience. He has transitioned into this role following several years serving as Acting Director of the University’s Centre for University Teaching. Stemming from his work in educational development at the Centre and his doctoral research in higher education, Dr. Groen's research interests and teaching focus on the effectiveness of pedagogical practices and Transformative Learning in postsecondary settings. He is currently co-investigator on a SSHRC project entitled: Scaffolding a Transformative Transition to Distance and Online Learning: Tracking and Supporting Postsecondary Instructors and Students.
