Linda Radford is co-lead of the Urban Education Cohort at the Faculty of Education, where she teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses. Her research interests include curriculum policy and renewal, digital pedagogies that foster self-reflexive reading practices, the empowerment of marginalized youth through engaging literacies in critical ways and education for youth in urban high needs settings. She is currently co-investigator on a SSHRC project entitled Developing mobile media spaces for civic engagement at urban priority schools. Linda’s publications highlight her ongoing work to support diversity and social difference and to conceptualize child and youth studies as emancipatory.  Her work has appeared in publications such as the McGill Journal of Education,Affective Reading Education Journal, Journal of the Canadian Association of Curriculum Studies and Multicultural Education Review, as well as in Changing English: Studies in Reading and Culture.  Linda is co-vice president of the Canadian Association of Curriculum Studies.
