I teach and research antiracism education. As a historian of the Chinese in Canada, I am particularly interested in the relations between histories of racist exclusion, historical representation and contemporary racisms. I work with texts, both using historical methodologies and critical discourse analysis. I supervise thesis students who are researching historical topics or contemporary racisms and who work with written documents.
