Our undergraduate engineering and computer science programs are accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board and the Computer Science Accreditation Council.

Two types of accreditations at uOttawa’s Faculty of Engineering

The accreditation ensures that our graduates stand among the global leaders in the industry and that our programs meet the national engineering standards.

We have eight accredited undergraduate programs, each offering top quality education in engineering and computer science.

Seven undergraduate uOttawa programs are accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) of Engineers Canada. The following programs are also recognized under the Washington Accord.

The following dual fast-track degrees also benefit from the same credentials, on top of giving you the opportunity to obtain a second bachelor's degree.

Our Software Engineering programs and Computer Science programs, including the dual fast-track degree in Data Science, are accredited by the Computer Science Accreditation Council of the Information Processing Society (CIPS).

Twelve graduate attributes for engineering programs

As part of the Canadian accreditation process, all graduates must demonstrate 12 attributes that will set them up for success in their career. Our accredited undergraduate programs place these attributes at the centre of your education and guarantee that your diploma will be recognized as you apply to become an accredited professional engineer (P.Eng.).
