Our engineering design courses are the first step in your design journey. You’ll work alongside industry professionals to tackle real-world challenges, honing skills in problem identification, ideas and conceptualization, prototyping and testing, project management and more.

Twice a year, our design students take centre stage at Design Day to:

  • Present innovative solutions to industry experts.
  • Compete for top honours in various categories.
  • Network with potential employers and mentors.

Learn how to use the tools available at our state-of-the-art facilities through workshops.

  • The Manufacturing Training Centre (MTC) offers traditional manufacturing methods and equipment.
  • The MakerLab provides experience with digital fabrication tools like 3D printers and microcontrollers. 
  • Workshops are open to students, professors and the public.

Design and entrepreneurial teams have access to exclusive workspaces such as our John McEntyre Team Space (JMTS) and Sandbox to work on their projects.
