The Centre for Entrepreneurship and Engineering Design offers workshops on manufacturing technologies, digital technologies and professional development for the uOttawa community and clients from academia, research, government, industry and the community.

Community workshops

We offer free community workshops throughout the school year. They’re available to all students, professors and community members.

Some workshops feature mandatory training on using equipment in advanced building spaces like the Makerspace and Brunsfield Centre.

Manufacturing technologies

The Manufacturing Training Centre offers sessions on a variety of traditional manufacturing equipment and on computer numerical control (CNC), such covering lathes, milling machines, hand tools, welding and fabrication. Students, staff and community members can register for free workshops throughout the year.

These workshops also enable access to the Brunsfield Centre, where members can use the equipment that they’ve been trained on to manufacture anything from personal projects to school-related projects.
