Andrew Antsey
Assistant Professor

Ph.D. (Mechanical and Industrial Engineering)

Biography

Prof. Anstey obtained his B. Eng in Biological Engineering from the University of Guelph in 2015. After working in R&D for sustainable polymer composites, he obtained his PhD in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2022. His doctoral work focused on the creation of polymer-polymer nanocomposites via flow-induced nanostructuring techniques, and crystal nucleation processes in supercooled polymer liquids.

He joined the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Ottawa in 2023. His research work focuses on the production of sustainable polymer materials via nanostructuring techniques, including recycled, recyclable, and bio-based polymer nanocomposites.
