José Morán received a BSc and an MSc in engineering from the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa Maria in Chile, both in 2017. In 2021, he received a PhD in physics at INSA de Rouen in France, conducting research in the CORIA laboratory. He also conducted postdoctoral research for several months at Carleton University, Canada, and at the University of Minnesota, U.S., for two years. He joined the University of Ottawa’s Department of Mechanical Engineering as an assistant professor in July 2024.
