Your first step to speak with a member of the Graduate Studies Office is to click to button above and access QLess. QLess will allow you to pick one of the following services: 

• Virtual appointment 
• In-person appointment 

Once your appointment is confirmed, you will receive a text message (Canadian numbers only; standard text messaging rates will apply) and an email notification. Don't forget to check your junk mail!

Please note that if, at any time, you are experiencing some technical difficulties while using QLess, simply take a screenshot of the error message and send it to [email protected] along with a description of what action you were trying to perform. A member of the Graduate Studies Office of the Faculty of Engineering will take note of the error and try to assist you.

Important notice

uOttawa students

The Graduate Studies Office of the Faculty of Engineering use the Microsoft Teams application to reach out to students, therefore make sure to use your @uOttawa student email address with QLess and have your Microsoft Teams application open. If you use your personal email address, you will be removed from the queue and asked to use your @uOttawa student email address.

uOttawa students currently outside of Canada, using international phone numbers

If you're currently outside of Canada and would like to reach us through QLess using an international phone number that starts with "0" or "00", we kindly ask that you do not include the "0" in the "cellphone" field from the first page. You will be able to enter your full phone number on the fourth page.

Doing so will allow the system to recognize the request and send you an email confirmation. Don't forget to check your junk mail!

Newly admitted students, prospect students or other

If you are a new student, a prospective student or someone requesting information using QLess and have entered your personal email address, we regret to inform you that the Graduate Studies Office of the Faculty of Engineering will not be able to meet with you virtually nor communicate with you through the Microsoft Teams application.

If you enter the queue with your personal email, you will be removed from the virtual line system. However, this does not mean that we do not want to talk to you, therefore please send us your questions by email at [email protected].
