- Submit a photo using the contest submission form.
- One contest entry equals one entry in the draw. You’re allowed unlimited entries.
- The contest begins on March 1 and ends on March 31, 2024.
- Your photo must represent engineering life at uOttawa. This topic can be interpreted in many ways, such as a project you’re working on, time spent in a lab or working, engineering students on campus, etc. Be creative and submit any picture you feel is appropriate.
- The picture can be taken by you, or by someone else as long as you have their permission to use it.
- By submitting a photo to the contest, you confirm that you have the consent of everyone appearing in the photo.
- When taking pictures, please respect current health and safety guidelines.
- Optional: Submit a short text to accompany your photo, like a description of what’s happening or of the people in the photo. If you submit a text, we might translate or edit it to ensure everyone can understand it.

Here are the detailed rules for the Faculty of Engineering’s National Engineering Month photo contest.
Participation
Prizes
- Two Amazon gift cards of $200 each will be drawn among all entries to the contest.
- The draw will take place the week of April 1, 2024.
- The winner will be contacted by email and will have two business days to respond. If we receive no response, a new winner will be drawn.
Ownership and use of photos
- All contest entries (picture and text) become the property of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Ottawa.
- All contestants acknowledge that the content submitted can be used by the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Ottawa in promotional materials, advertisements and online marketing materials.

The University of Ottawa is not responsible for any submissions made in error, any corrupted files or submissions that are otherwise damaged, destroyed, lost, late, not viewable, incomplete or misdirected. The University is not responsible or liable for any damage or losses arising from or connected to the photo contest. Submissions that do not fully comply with the contest rules are ineligible. All submissions become the property of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Ottawa.
