Master’s student Joanne Woloszyn’s thesis, titled “Process study, simulation, and optimization of the direct conversion of biomass to ethyl levulinate,” has been nominated for two prestigious awards, Most Outstanding Master’s Thesis in the Faculty of Engineering and the Commission on Graduate Studies in the Sciences Prize. 

Joanne Woloszyn defended her thesis this past August 1. It has yet to be published.
