Hussein Al Osman is an Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa and leads the Multimedia Processing and Interaction Group. He completed his Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Ottawa. His research focuses on affective computing, specifically multimodal affect estimation, human-computer interaction, serious gaming, and multimedia systems. He has recently been interested in remote physiological signal measurement and its application in affective computing. He has produced over 50 peer-reviewed research articles, 2 patents, and several technology transfers to the industry.
