Start with four compulsory core courses

To receive the Master of Interdisciplinary AI, you first complete four core courses (12 units) to gain a diverse set of skills, knowledge and competencies, preparing you for various roles in the rapidly evolving field of AI. In less than a year, you’ll gain:

  • Technical expertise: Mastering AI algorithms, machine learning techniques and deep learning architectures is crucial to successfully completing AI projects. You’ll be ready to develop, implement, optimize and deploy AI solutions to address real-world challenges.  
  • Interdisciplinary knowledge: AI intersects with diverse fields. You’ll broaden your knowledge of how AI technologies can be applied across various fields.
  • Analytical skills: Through exposure to statistical methods, machine learning models and AI tools, you’ll be able to navigate the complexities of modern data analysis.
  • Ethical awareness: Acute awareness of the ethical considerations and societal implications associated with AI technologies is crucial for responsible development, trust, acceptance, compliance and long-term sustainability concerning AI. You’ll learn to design and deploy AI solutions responsibly and ethically.

To ensure a smooth journey through the program, you should complete these courses first. You can then choose your electives based on your goals and course availability.

Finish with six elective courses

We offer 18 elective courses across six concentration areas. To complete a concentration, you should take all the available electives from that concentration area by the end of your program.  You can complete up to two full concentrations.  You can also choose to mix and match your courses from among different concentration areas.  In total, you must take six elective courses to fulfil your program requirements.
