Web Development Bootcamp

Every Saturday from September 21th to October 19th, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.

This Bootcamp is designed for kids in grades 7 to grade 11. In this Bootcamp, students will be given an introduction to fundamental concepts in web development. Course content will include learning the HTML markup language, CSS style sheet language, and the basics of the JavaScript programming language. We will discuss how these 3 languages work together to form the modern web, and how new web development frameworks build on top of these fundamental pillars. Students will use their new skills and knowledge to build a sample portfolio website

Pre Medicine Bootcamp

Every Saturday from November 2nd to November 30th, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. 

This bootcamp introduces you to the anatomy and physiology of the human body at the cellular level. Hands-on activities cover sutures, injections, cast making and much more! You’ll also discover neurobiology and learn more about other health-care careers, including nursing, physiotherapy and pharmacy!

Robotics Club: First Tech Challenge

Every Saturday from September 14th to December 14th, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.  

This robotic club is designed for teens in grade 9 to 12, with a maximum of 15 participants. Participants will design, build, and program a robot to compete in a series of challenges, including autonomous and remote-controlled tasks. Students will work closely with mentors to help bring their vision to life. The team will participate in at least one robotic competition in Ottawa during the month of December (Date TBD) with First Tech Challenge.
