Biography

Daniel Amyot is a Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the University of Ottawa, which he joined in 2002 after working as a Senior Researcher at Mitel Networks.

He has published more than 200 papers in requirements engineering, software engineering, modeling, regulatory compliance and healthcare informatics. From 2002 to 2013, he led the evolution of the User Requirements Notation standard as Associate Rapporteur for Requirements Languages ​​at the International Telecommunication Union. He leads the development of the jUCMNav tool.

He holds a doctorate and a master's degree in computer science from the University of Ottawa (2001 and 1994) and a bachelor's degree in computer science from Université Laval (1992).

Daniel is also member of the editorial boards of the SoSyM and EMSE journals, member of IJEACH's international advisory board, steering committee chair of the international Requirements Engineering conference (RE), president of the SDL Forum Society, Senior Member of IEEE, and researcher at the Institut du savoir Montfort.
