Dr. Fattahi received his BSc in Electrical Engineering from IUT, Iran, and worked in high-tech European industries before pursuing his graduate study at SUT, Iran in 2009. He received his PhD in 2015 from uOttawa, Canada, where he held his postdoctoral as well as senior research associate position.
He is an IEEE senior member, a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) under PEO and EGBC, a member of the Standards Council of Canada (SCC), and the VP and chief editor of IEEE 2030.5 smart-grid interoperability verification.
His research interests lie in the areas related to energy equity and inclusion, distributed energy resources (DER), software-defined nanogrids and digital twins, game theory and complex optimization, smart e-mobility, nanogenerators, modular power electronics, and nonlinear systems.
