Dr. Nancy Samaan received her Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Ottawa, Canada, in 2007, where she is currently an assistant professor.
She has received her BSC and MSc degrees from the department of computer science, Alexandria University, Egypt, in 1998 and 2001, respectively.
Her current research interests include management of enterprise networks, mobile communications, Quality of Service (QoS) issues and policy-based network management. In 2008, she was awarded the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada University Faculty Award (UFA).
Dr. Samaan is the principal author of the first cited article in the “Scanning the Literature” for the year 2006, a review published semi-annually by the IEEE Wireless Communication magazine to identify the most significant contributions in the area of wireless computing.
She is a member of IEEE, and has over 20 publications in refereed journals and conference proceedings.
