Biography

Saeid R. Seydnejad holds a BSc from the University of Sistan and Baluchestan, Zahedan, Iran, an MSc from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, and a PhD from Imperial College, London, U.K., all in electrical engineering.

Professor Seydnejad worked as a DSP engineer for GE Power Control Systems, Toronto, in 1999. From 2000 to 2007, he was a senior DSP design engineer at Nortel Networks, Ottawa, working on the development of next-generation optical and wireless communication systems. From 2004 to 2006, he also served as a consultant in the Division of Medical Devices at the Ottawa Heart Institute, focusing on design of bio-implant devices. Since 2008, he has been a professor (first assistant and later associate) in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, Kerman, Iran. Since 2023, he has served as an adjunct professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Ottawa.
