Contest rules

This contest is open to students enrolled for the Fall 2024 term at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Ottawa. 

A public Instagram account is required to enter the contest. 

The contest period is from January 13, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. EST to January 19, 2025 at 11:59 EST. 

To enter the contest: 

• Like this post. (The post will be published on January 13, 2025)
• Follow @genie_engineering_uottawa
• Tag 1 friend in this post and have them follow @genie_engineering_uottawa

One comment equals one contest entry. The comment must be posted on your Instagram feed. Instagram stories will not count towards a contest participation. You are allowed unlimited entries. 

• Two winners will be randomly selected on January 21 among all entries to the contest. 
• Only one prize per participant will be awarded.  
• Each winner will win one uOttawa Engineering hoodie. 
• Winners will be contacted via Instagram direct message on January 21 and will be asked to provide their student number for validation of enrolment status. 
• Winners have two weeks to reply and pick up their prize. 
• If no response is received within the two-week window, a new winner will be selected. 

The University of Ottawa is not responsible for any submissions made in error, any corrupted files or submissions that are otherwise damaged, destroyed, lost, late, not viewable, incomplete or misdirected. The University is not responsible or liable for any damage or losses arising from or connected to the contest. Submissions that do not fully comply with the contest rules are ineligible. 

Contestants acknowledge that Facebook and Instagram, as well as their respective stakeholders, take no responsibility for this contest. This contest is in no way associated, promoted, sanctioned or administrated by Facebook and/or Instagram.
