November 1, 2025	Student Placement: Immunization Requirements (up-to-date vaccinations, serology, and full series COVID-19 vaccination) Important information regarding the Tuberculin Skin Test (TST): The 2-step TST is not required at this time and should only be submitted in the Spring of 2026. (See Year 2 requirements for more information)

June 30, 2025	Annual Full Certification Course for CPR-HCP (Health Care Provider) orBLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate must only be obtained after April 30, 2025, to ensure that it remains valid for the duration of the placement period. 1-step TST Test must only be administered after April 30, 2025, to ensure that results remain valid for the entire placement period. If you completed a 2-step TST in the past 12 months, the 1-step TST is not required at this time. If you have ever tested positive, you must provide: Documented proof of the positive TST (date of injection and results in mm) A copy of your chest x-ray report A completed Tuberculosis Signs and Symptoms Self-Declaration form.
November 1, 2025	Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) - original document with embossed seal or electronic document forwarded from police service VSC must only be obtained after September 1, 2025, to ensure that it remains valid for the duration of the placement period. Please do not apply before September 1, 2025 as your clinical placement in 2nd year may take place in long-term care home (LTCH) settings. As per the LTCH policy, a police vulnerable sector screening must be completed within 6 months prior to starting placement in a LTCH setting.
December 1, 2025	Seasonal Influenza Vaccination N95 Mask Fit Testing
June 30, 2026	INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS STARTING IN FALL 2025 ONLY 2-step Tuberculin Skin Test (TST) Test must only be administered after April 30, 2026, to ensure that results remain valid for the entire placement period. Proof of a baseline 2-step TST is required (two separate tests, ideally seven to 28 days apart) in addition to a yearly one-step TST. If you have a history of a positive TST, you must provide documented proof of the positive TST (date of injection and results in mm) along with the report of a chest x-ray completed after the positive TST and a completed Tuberculosis Signs and Symptoms Self-Declaration form.

As an RPN, it is likely that you have already completed some if not most of the requirements for a previous program or even through your workplace. If the documentation is currently valid, it can be submitted for review.

April 30, 2025	Student Placement: Immunization Requirements (up-to-date vaccinations, serology, full series COVID-19 vaccination and 2-step TST) Important information regarding theTuberculin Skin Test (TST): Proof of a baseline two-step tuberculin skin test (TST) done at any time in the past is mandatory, in addition to a yearly one-step TST. The yearly one-step TST should only be completed AFTER April 30, 2025, but before June 30, 2025, to ensure that the results remain valid for the duration of the placement period. Students with a history of a positive TST must provide written proof along with the report of a chest X-ray completed after the positive TST. Future TST are not required but the Tuberculosis Signs and Symptoms Self-Declaration formmust be completed on an annual basis.
