Biography

Xiangfei Meng’s research has been focused on population mental health and multimorbidity between mental disorders and physical diseases. She uses interdisciplinary approaches to predict and characterize the disease courses of these health conditions and identify the roles of biological (e.g., genetic predisposition) and psycho-socio-environmental (e.g., stressors, lack of social support) attributes and their interactions in these diseases, with a focus on developing effective prevention strategies.

Dr. Meng has published extensively in high-impact journals and presented at numerous conferences.

Dr. Meng is the vice president (2024–2026) of the Canadian Society of Epidemiology and Biostatistics (CSEB) and an active member of the Society for Epidemiologic Research (SER) and the Canadian Association of Psychiatric Epidemiology (CAPE).

Professor Meng is accepting new students for thesis supervision.
