Professor Giroux leads research to evaluate the impact of simulated experiential learning on the development of professional competencies, including interprofessional collaboration, which has helped to move dietetic education forward. For over two decades, she has been actively involved in professional affairs as a dietetic educator, a dietetic program accreditation surveyor, a member of the Partnership for Dietetic Education and Practice (PDEP) of Canada and its Accreditation Standards Development Working Group and a founding Chair of the French Network of Dietitians of Canada.
The purpose of the Fellowship Program is to promote excellence in dietetics by recognizing members of Dietitians of Canada who have demonstrated outstanding professional growth and contributions through educational/professional enhancement, career achievements, initiative/innovation, and leadership in dietetics.
