TIPS – Thesis in Progress meetings

Purpose: To support and facilitate graduate student progress with conducting their thesis/dissertation work, fostering a sense of community, and accountability amongst them. Each attendee is invited to write 1 or 2 commitments in a shared tracking sheet (Google Doc) for moving their thesis forward within the next 1 week.
CRHN’s Works In Progress (WIPs) meetings
Virtually, last Wednesday of each month
Purpose: WIPs are monthly trainee/researcher focused events to present, receive feedback and/or brainstorm any aspect of their research. Grad students are welcome to use this venue to prepare and practice for a thesis defence or other presentations. Faculty members are welcome to present and discuss any research or methodological issues they would like to receive feedback/input on.

CRHN-Community of Practice (CoP)
Virtually, the second Wednesday of every month @ 1.30 pm
Purpose: to provide an opportunity for graduate students in nursing and rehabilitation sciences to connect, share resources and hear from invited guest speakers on topics determined by the CoP group.

Critical Reading & Discussion Group
Virtually every 3 weeks: January 8th, January 29th, February 19th, March 12th, April 2nd, and April 23rd.
Purpose: to read and discuss texts by philosophers and critical thinkers that are not from nursing or healthcare. Through an exploration of these texts, we hope to arrive at new understandings and perspectives of the world within which we find ourselves.
