Without a doubt, the highlight of 2023–2024 was the move into the new Health Sciences Building at 200 Lees Avenue. The new facility represents a key stage in our evolution as a faculty. Finally, after more than 30 years, we have our very own building. This cutting-edge space will provide students and professors with the resources they need to excel in their teaching, learning and research. The new building not only offers many possibilities, but it also comes with added responsibilities and challenges. The safety of our students, support staff and professors is a priority. As a result, we have set up a health and safety committee to ensure a safe working environment for everyone. We are also committed to creating appropriate work, research, teaching and learning spaces at Lees, Montpetit, Thompson and Roger Guindon to address our strategic priorities.

The launch of the 2024–2029 strategic plan is also a key moment in the Faculty’s growth. Based on the fundamental principles of excellence, agility, sustainability and visibility, the plan reflects our vision of the future and sets clear objectives to fulfil our mission. Our strategic plan is focused on the promotion of excellence, collaboration, innovation and equity. By minimizing the siloed approach to work and by encouraging partnerships, we will be able to open up new avenues for research, teaching, learning, administration of operations and community engagement.
