Webinar on the environmental implications of the pandemic, with doctoral student Pierre Cloutier de Repentigny – June 4, 2020
The COVID-19 pandemic offers a decisive moment to reflect on environmental issues. The drastic slowdown in economic and industrial activities has given us a glimpse of the impact that our energy consumption can have on water, air and land.

On Thursday, June 4, 2020, The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation begins its series of Emergence webinars with two panels on the post-COVID-19 environment. Our very own doctoral student Pierre Cloutier de Repentigny, both a Trudeau Doctoral Scholar, and SSHRC Bombardier Scholar, will be a panelist for the session in French. Pierre's doctoral research focuses on the role of law as a mediator of relationships between humans and the rest of the biosphere. He is particularly interested in paradigms that limit the capacity of the law to fulfill this role.
