A tribute in memory of Katherine Lippel

Katherine Lippel, Distinguished Research Chair in Occupational Health and Safety Law at the University of Ottawa and leader of the Partnership grant Return to work after a work injury: Challenging Circumstances and Innovative Solutions passed away peacefully on September 23, 2021 at the age of 67.
This tribute to Katherine was put together by her colleagues and friends to honour her and the legacy she has left behind, including this visionary research project looking at return to work experiences of precarious workers injured at work

Description: What are COVID-19’s impacts on maritime workers and what impact could this have on the capacity of seafarers to return to work after injury and illness? Do differences in work disability duration by interjurisdictional claim status vary by industry and jurisdictional context? What factors influence return-to-work of mobile workers in British Columbia?
These are just some of the questions that will be examined at this webinar hosted by the Policy and Practice in Return to Work after a work injury: Challenging Circumstances and Innovative Solutions research program.
