Common Law Reunion Weekend 2019

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us for the 2019 Homecoming Weekend.

Homecoming Weekend will take place in Ottawa on the weekend of October 25-26, 2019. From the first graduating class of 1960, to those who graduated this spring, all alumni of the Common Law section are encouraged to attend!

This year, we will also be celebrating milestone anniversaries of the graduating classes of 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014.

Event Info

The Homecoming program will feature class reunions, social activities, an evening celebration, and more. For those in our milestone celebration classes, please keep an eye out for emails from your class champions with information regarding specific events they are planning for your class.

When RSVPing, please indicate which activities and events you would like to attend. Please RSVP no later than October 15, 2019.

Friday, October 25- Dean's Cocktail Reception

Re-connect with your classmates and Faculty members at the Dean’s Cocktail Reception taking place from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Tsampalieros Atrium of Fauteux Hall.

Saturday, October 26- Law School Open House

Join us between 9:30-11 a.m. for a light breakfast, tours, and activities at the Law School, including the opportunity to observe a moot competition practice in the Ian G. Scott Courtroom. Tours of the University will also be offered.

Saturday, October 26- Fun Run

Starting point in the main lobby of Fauteux Hall at 9 a.m. to begin the run, jog, or walk along the scenic Rideau Canal. Afterward, we invite you back to the Law School for refreshments and activities that will be running until 11 a.m.

Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Supreme Court of Canada. With limited space, RSVP quickly to ensure your spot!

Tour 1: Starts at 2 p.m. Please arrive by 1:30 p.m. to allow time for security process.

Saturday, October 26 - Fireside Chat Cocktail Reception

Join us for a cocktail reception from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the historic Rideau Club. Enjoy a variety of delicious hot and cold appetizers and small plates while re-connecting with your classmates and other alumni of the Common Law section. Guest speaker for the evening is The Hon. Justice Michael Moldaver of the Supreme Court of Canada.
