Word from the Dean

December is here, and so is the snow! As we begin the last few weeks of this semester, I find myself grateful for this incredible Fauteux community. Each of you, with your unique strengths and stories, plays an integral role in shaping this vibrant law school. I am genuinely thankful for the many opportunities I’ve had to exchange ideas and collaborate with so many of you.

Congratulations are in order for reaching this milestone. Your hard work and tenacity have both propelled you forward academically and strengthened the bonds within our community. Together, we've faced challenges head-on and celebrated accomplishments, both big and small.

As we approach exams followed by a well-deserved holiday break, please remember to take time for self-care. Recharge, reflect, and revel in the warmth of the season with loved ones. Remember, we are stronger together, and your well-being is essential to finishing this semester, not to mention the academic year, strong.

Wishing you all a restful and joyous holiday season. Happy Kwanzaa, Hannukah and Christmas to those who celebrate. I look forward to new collaborations in the coming year. Thank you for making our law school community a truly special and supportive place.

I hope to see many of you at our “ugly holiday sweater” and hot chocolate stress buster on December 5.

Kristen Boon, Dean of Common Law Section
