Adrienne Jarabek is a part-time Professor of Law at the University of Ottawa. After summering and articling at a seven sister firm, Adrienne was called to the bar of Ontario in 2012. Since then, she has worked as Legal Counsel at the Canadian Human Rights Commission, an Analyst working to establish the national human rights unit at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), and is currently Counsel in the Centre for Labour and Employment Law with the Department of Justice Canada. Her main practice areas include human rights law, employment law, the federal whistleblower regime, administrative law and litigation support. She is also proficient in alternative dispute resolution. Adrienne is the founder of the federal Security and Intelligence Human Rights Council and a former President of the Canadian Council on International Law. Prior to law school, Adrienne had a career in international development and politics. She worked as a Marketing & Business Development Officer for the micro-finance non-profit Foundation for International Community Assistance and the Niagara College Institute through the former Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (now Global Affairs Canada) Youth Employment Strategy in sub-saharan Africa. She also worked as the Assistant to the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister of Canada. Adrienne received her Master of Laws in 2021 from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Common Law. In her spare time, Adrienne is a gardening enthusiast, rides a motorcycle, and enjoys backcountry camping.
