Ari Kaplan is a pension and benefits lawyer, mediator and arbitrator, and principal of Kaplan Law dispute resolution law firm in Toronto. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Law and Emotion at Western in London, Ontario. Ari teaches wellness workshops to professionals and trustees and has designed Canada’s first law school course on Law and Emotions. He is author of Toronto Method Mindfulness Handbook: Six Lessons in Embodied and Compassionate Meditation, which is accredited for professionalism and EDI by the Law Society of Ontario; and Pension Law, winner of the Walter Owen Book Prize for outstanding new contribution to Canadian legal literature and cited in seven decisions of the Supreme Court of Canada.
