His practice focuses on litigation including dispute resolution. Prior to joining Osler in 2005, he was the Assistant Deputy Attorney General of the Tax Law Services portfolio in the Justice Department that provided all of the legal services required to the Canada Revenue Agency. He received his Queens Counsel in 1985, and has appeared before all levels of court. He has been a Governor of the Canadian Tax Foundation, was course leader for Law and Business Valuations of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators, and lectures in Business Associations, and in Taxation at the University of Ottawa Law School. He has spoken frequently on taxation and practice issues, and has co-authored a number of publications.
