About the Law Practice Program

lawyer

To meet the experiential training requirement of the licensing process for the legal profession, the University of Ottawa’s Law Practice Program (LPP) is an alternative to the traditional articling pathway certified by the Law Society of Ontario.

This eight-month professional program, offered entirely in French, combines hands-on learning through practical simulations in various areas of law with a professional work placement. With the support of a dedicated Francophone legal community and an immersive approach, the LPP prepares future lawyers to excel in their legal careers.
