This extraordinary evening brought together members of our legal community and celebrated the enduring legacy of the OLR. Attendees included former editors from Volume 22 to current editors of Volume 56, alongside distinguished guests such as The Honourable Michelle O’Bonsawin, the Susan & Perry Dellelce Dean, Kristen Boon, the Vice-Dean for Research of the Civil Law Section, Pascale Cornut St-Pierre, and Professors Denis Boivin, former Senior Editor and faculty advisor for the OLR, Stéphane Sérafin, former Senior Editor, and our faculty advisors, Kyle Kirkup and Yan Campagnolo.
Generously sponsored by Power Law, the event celebrated the scholarly achievements published in the OLR’s 56 volumes. It provided a platform for engaging discussions and meaningful connections among student editors, alumni, and honourary patrons.
During the evening, Darius Bossé, a partner at Power Law and former Interview Editor for Volume 44, gave a speech about his experiences with the OLR. He reflected on how his time as an editor helped him shape core skills that continue to benefit him in his professional life. His insights resonated with those present, highlighting the lasting impact the OLR has on its members.
The event also successfully raised $2,100 in donations to the OLR. These generous contributions will help us further our mission to promote legal scholarship and foster a dynamic, engaged community, allowing us to further strengthen the resources and opportunities we offer to our Editorial team.
Furthermore, the 2024 Campagnolo Leadership Award was presented during the evening to two outstanding recipients: Annina Trecroce, Volume 55 Editor-in-Chief (Administration), and Leonie van Haeren, Volume 55 Special Projects Manager. This prestigious award recognized their remarkable contributions to the OLR during the 2023–2024 academic year. Congratulations, Annina and Leonie!
The OLR extends its heartfelt gratitude to all who attended and contributed to the success of this event. Your presence, participation, and support made the event truly unforgettable—and it exemplifies our community’s strength and its commitment to advancing legal scholarship and discourse.
